Overcoming Visibility Fears

A really big priority for me in 2013 is embracing the arts and allowing myself to share visibly. I’ve spent too many years not making it a priority and it’s time to change that! When I was a little girl I always wanted to be involved in movies and theater performances. I used to even write my own movie scripts, find neighbors to film them, and then act in them with my friends. But then around the time I entered middle school, I started to worry more about what other people thought of me. I started to feel shy and dim my light, because I didn’t want to be seen. I’m just starting to explore the world of acting, modeling, and dance performance again. It’s amazing how opportunities seem to come out of nowhere as soon as there is this energetic shift within! It was around the time that I started Coaching With Christina, that I realized I was going to have to get comfortable with being visible–sharing my stories, videos, pictures, etc. This realization was scary, but also liberating. It means being vulnerable and open to criticism, but also opens up a whole new world of creativity. The truth is, not allowing yourself to be visible can actually hold  you back from reaching more people and sharing what you have to offer. And I’m starting to learn that so many people struggle with allowing themselves to be seen on line. That’s why I made this video–hope it inspires you to share if you’re feeling afraid of criticism too.

How to Find Your Purpose

My Journey My belief is that each of us has a divine purpose that we come into this world with. I had a sense of that when I was a child, a belief that I had planned certain aspects of my life before I had come into it—even that I had chosen certain family members and life challenges. I believe I chose a purpose before coming into this life, and I believe you did too. You might not share this belief, but I invite you to consider the idea that having a purpose linked to a higher calling gives much more meaning to every day. It gives more meaning to every interaction you have with others, and every action you take for your “work.” I was a at a crossroads a few years ago, where I felt like I had to make a decision between my feeling of purpose as guide and my desire to create and be artistic (which was manifesting at the time with a desire to make bath and body products). One night I had a dream that I was consulting with a spirit guide and I asked her which path I should take. I was expecting to feel judged for questioning and diverging from my strong conviction of being a guide. But she was very understanding and what she said to me was “You can do anything as long as you are a guide.” She was reinforcing my understanding that my feeling of purpose as guide was true, but that it didn’t mean I couldn’t be anything else or love doing anything else. And that sent me on my journey to find a way to bridge the two together, to be a guide and an artist. In this article I want to share with you 2 reasons why I believe discovering your purpose is so challenging and 3 powerful exercises to help you figure out what your purpose is. I hope this will allow you to be easier on yourself if you are feeling frustrated for not knowing what you truly want to do with your life. These are valid reasons and they are figure-outable 😉

Your Guide to Creating a Vision for 2013

There are so many ways to make plans for the New Year—New Year’s resolutions being the one we think about most. I think New Year’s Resolutions have gotten a bad rap because we tend to think about them as being unrealistic goals that we’re really excited about at first…and then we get burned out and forget about them as the year goes on. Maybe it’s just a matter of approaching the desire for change in a different way? I’d rather create a simple vision that will give me a lot of satisfaction when I look back on how the year went…

Happy Holidays: Two of My Favorite Things…

Happy Holidays! I know everyone’s experience is different, but I’ve come to view the holidays as a time for relaxation while preparing for the New Year. No matter which holiday you celebrate at this time of year, it’s likely you’ll have extra time to relax if you allow for it. I believe this spaciousness is essential and entirely appropriate for the winter season. I invite you to indulge in it with me without feeling guilty. Giving yourself a break makes it easier to be productive when you do return to work. This is a time of hibernation, going within, being warm,

3 Insights From My Rejuvenate Your Practice Weekend

Me and Janis at Rejuvenate Your Practice Last week I attended a live event called Rejuvenate Your Practice with Jesse Koren and Sharla Jacobs. It was such an amazing experience! Also the energy of being around so many like-minded and motivated people was amazing! Here are some pictures of me with two very dear friends I made at this event. 4 Steps for Dealing With Fear

First, take a moment to think of one of your own, so you can immediately see how these tools can be applied. Survey Results (And Getting More Money)

Last week, I sent out a survey to find out more about you and how I can best be of service here at my blog and through Coaching. I thought I would share the results with you here and some helpful tips :) Answers varied, but the overall theme seemed to be about money.  The biggest challenge listed was a need for more money, and it was also the biggest worry. You are most proud of your work, but in general it seems like work fulfillment is not leading to *enough* money. Some people said they are most excited about a
