Today I want to share with you 4 Keys to Making Money While Following Your Passion.

My friend and fellow Coach Janis Cline are so fired up about this topic that we are offering a free teleseminar in May to share with you everything that we’ve learned! 🙂

Key #1)      Define Your Purpose

I believe that each person chooses to come into this life with a very specific purpose.

It’s not always easy to remember what your purpose is, though.

Along the way, we get distracted by what others expect of us and what we think is realistic or easy. Choosing to follow your divine purpose is not an easy road—it’s a challenge and it can be scary!

Fortunately, there are exercises that can help you get crystal clear and give you a deep sense of knowing.

The key is to notice how your purpose can provide value to others, so you can make a living by following your passion.

Key #2)      Get Clarity

Did you know that most people don’t actually know what they want?

And even if you know what you want—how specific and clear are you?

There is always a way to go one layer deeper and the deeper you go, the closer you get to creating  what you want to experience.

For instance, it’s not enough to know “what you want to be or do” in general.

For the longest time I wanted to be a psychologist—pretty clear, right?

Actually, no. There are lots of different types of psychologists and different specialties to study. There are child psychologists, forensic psychologists, neuropsychologists—you get the picture.

And there are other professions that allow you to do similar work as a psychologist, but just a little bit differently—like what I’m doing now as a LifeStyle Design Coach.

Visualization, asking the right questions, and checking in with feelings can help you drill down deeper into the clarity you need to bring your purpose to fruition.

The more specific you are, the more likely you are to stand out uniquely and find people who want *exactly* what you have to offer.

Key #3)      Be Unstoppable

 It seems pretty simple, right?

Discover your purpose and you’re good to go…

Once you have your purpose figured out, you’re going to be super motivated to fulfill your vision and do what you love–you would think!

The truth is that discovering your purpose is not enough. Many people have done this and are still not taking action.

I call this the “Jonah Syndrome.”

Do you remember that story in the Bible of the man (Jonah) who hid from God’s calling because he was afraid?

That’s what a lot of us do, because playing full out on your life purpose is BIG STUFF.

It’s powerful and it’s scary!

For some of us, there are other blocks coming up or a combination of a few.

Maybe it’s a nagging thought like, “I can’t because (fill in the blank)” or “it’s too late for me.”

Or maybe you just don’t know how to get started.

Don’t listen to the voice that says “you can’t”—it’s a lie.

Key #4) Turn Your Passion Into Money

For many of us, the two don’t seem to go together–money and passion.

Most of us separate work/money from passion and have the belief that we should offer up our talent for free or very low cost. We make money from our “jobs” which often have little or nothing to do with what we’re really passionate about.

This leads to dissociation and the feeling that money is “dirty,” something we are “selling our souls” for on some level. It feels wrong somehow to ask for the money we deserve when we give advice, create a beautiful painting, play music, or write a book.

But if we really are offering up our divine purpose in a valuable way, shouldn’t we expect more money for that?

There is a formula to making money following your passion, and the Internet makes it easier than any other time in history.

For the first time in history, you can reach more people all over the world anytime of the day or night.

You can share your unique offering without trading dollars for hours, if that’s what you choose.
